Sayako Nakagawa aka Osaka Groove is a keyboardist/composer based in Melbourne.
Her musical journey begun in Japan when she was in her mother’s womb listening to her play piano. She grew up learning piano and graduated from the Osaka College of Music in Japan. Her soulful, smooth and yet funky sound has led her to perform piano and keyboard across many different music styles from soul, R’nB, funk, hip hop, acid jazz, alternative folk to collaboration with visual artists and traditional Japanese instrumentalists. Since moving to Melbourne, her love of music has led her to work with local and international artists including; Alariiya, Florelie Escano (UK), Joys Soul, Gemma Sherry (NY), MC Atom (Tokyo) Yasukazu Kano(JPN) and Tayutau(JPN). S Sayako joined Melbourne based Afro-beat band Alárìíyá led by Olugbade Okunade in 2014 and has been performing with them regulary ever since.
